Concentration in Botanical Medicine

The concentration in Botanical Medicine is a combination program that will provide the student with a Bachelor in Natural Health Sciences (B.S.) degree and a Master Herbalist (M.H.) certification.

The concentration in Botanical Medicine degree program offers a comprehensive study of herbology and natural healing teachings. The student will learn herb identification, selection, harvesting, horticulture, usage, herbal formulation and preparation.

The course of study includes the evolution, teaching, advancement of natural healing, dynamics of the human body, taxonomy and description of herbs, constituents of materia medica, and applications for Master Herbalists. You will learn preventive medicine through the study of the basic principles of natural healing: cause of disease, nutrition, elimination therapies, and herbal cleansing for the entire system including training in the proper application of wholesome herbs and simple therapies.
Required: 60 Credits (minimum)
